The Carle Place Key Club recently held their annual Fundraising through Fashion show. More than 50 high school students participated in the event alongside Rushmore Avenue School Staff, CPMS and CPHS staff. Almost $7,000 was collaboratively fundraised to raise awareness for tuberous sclerosis complex and for Zoey Seiling. The Key Club thanks top donors the CPTA, Carle Place Automotive, and Rushmore Avenue School.
Zoey Seiling is a 4-year-old who resides in Carle Place and has been diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis complex. Zoey’s mom, Renee Trombetta-Seiling, graduated from CPHS in 1998. TSC is a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form in areas such as the brain, heart, kidneys, skin and lungs. TSC also interferes with the ability to communicate.
