Despite being delayed a week by a snow storm and rescheduled for the initial weekend of Spring Break, the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center’s Service Leadership Committee’s 2nd Annual Walk for KPTC exceeded the financial success of the previous walk by more than $600.
While attendance was down, donations were up as members of the downstate area K-Family rallied to support the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center at North Shore-LIJ.
The KPTC Service Leadership Committee wishes to thank all the Kiwanis Clubs, Circle Ks, Key Clubs, Builders Clubs and K-Kids that contributed to the success of this event. Special thanks also go to the many local businesses that took ads on the Walk T-shirt, the Joey Foundation for its “over the top” donation and the Hallett family for soliciting many of the ads and getting the shirts made. This event’s success was only possible through the combination of a wonderful committee and the fantastic downstate K-Family.
