Westbury Rattlers Take Two From Cobras

The Westbury Rattlers 13-year-old youth travel baseball team concluded its spring season with two huge come-from-behind wins against the first place Cobras. Powered by Bradley Eugene’s base-clearing double in game one of the doubleheader, which scored three runs, the Rattlers came back to win the game, 14 to 11. Game one was highlighted by great pitching from Nick Pitti and relief work of Dan Kapps. Game two was highlighted by another come from behind win in the last inning with the Rattlers scoring two runs to come out on top, 11 to 10.

Starting pitcher Eugene Bradley was removed in the last inning and Adam Waldhof shut down a late rally by the Cobras to get the win. Adam Codling, Adam Waldhof and Nick Pitti contributed to the last inning two run rally with Jaylen McCracken smacking the walk-off single to bring the Rattlers their second big win of the afternoon. The Westbury Rattlers play in the NCYAA youth travel baseball league and are looking for players for the summer and fall seasons.
