Alyssa Bruckner of Carle Place, a member of Muhlenberg College’s softball team, has had another successful season. Bruckner started 14 games at pitcher and appeared in two in relief. She went 6-9 with a 2.92 ERA and led the Mules with 11 complete games and 93.1 innings pitched.
“Alyssa is a pitcher’s pitcher that relies on movement,” said head coach Roni Rivera. “She worked hard in the offseason and was in the best shape of her career. She also helped the team with a few quality at-bats and two games at first base.”
Bruckner, a junior, missed out on a postseason berth after winning the Centennial Conference championship last season. The Mules finished 6-10 in the CC and 14-19 overall and broke the school record for stolen bases in a season, swiping 72.
