Following her sixth Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honor, SUNY College at Old Westbury freshman Krystina Agard was named to the D3Hoops.com National Team of the Week for the first time this season after capturing her sixth Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honor. The accolade is for games played from Jan. 11-17. The Team of the Week is D3hoops.com’s weekly honor roll, in its 13th season of recognizing the top performances at each of the five positions from the previous week.
Agard averaged 32.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while firing away at 59.3 percent (19-of-32) from the field and 83.3 percent (20-of-24) from the free throw line. She scored 30 points (9-of-16 FG) and grabbed nine boards against Farmingdale State and followed with 34 points (shooting 10-of-16) in addition to four assists, two blocked shots and a pair of steals against Sage.
Entering the week, Agard is ranked third in the nation in scoring with 23.4 points (ranks 2nd in Skyline Conference) per game and averages 4.67 assists (ranked 2nd in Skyline Conference), 4.27 steals (ranked 3rd in Skyline Conference) and 1.73 blocked shots (ranked 3rd in Skyline Conference). Agard is also shooting 86.5 percent from the free throw line (ranked 2nd in Skyline Conference) and 43.6 percent from the field (ranked 5th in Skyline Conference).
