Carle Place Represented at National Softball Competition

Ashley Cole and Leanne Iannucci recently competed in the ASA Eastern National Girls Softball Championships held in Sterling, VA. At this time, 65 teams from the United States competed in the weeklong tournament; as members of the Long Island Riptide (U14), Ashley and Leanne represented the Long Island-Metro area. The girls also took part in the Team Long Island College Softball Showcase, which was held at the Mitchell Field Softball Complex and Hofstra Softball Stadium. Both Ashley and Leanne are sophomores at Carle Place High School and members of the varsity softball team.
