Two CP Students Receive Outstanding Physical Education Awards

Shannon and James represented Carle Place High School and were honored at a dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Monday, Dec. 12 with the Nassau Zone of New York State Association of Health, Physical Education and Dance Outstanding Physical Education Student Award for 2011-2012.

Shannon demonstrates leadership qualities; she has an excellent rapport with her teachers and peers.  She serves as a role model for her classmates, guiding other students and taking initiative.  Shannon exemplifies sportsmanship and good character, which makes her deserving of this award.

As a student of physical education, James is the ideal student. He is self-motivated, with an outstanding work ethic and gives 100 percent effort in all class activities.  His willingness to always work with and assist his peers on a continual basis makes him an outstanding role model.  We are extremely proud of James for all he has accomplished and for the fine young man that he is.

The Carle Place Physical Education Department and the Carle Place School District are very proud of Shannon and James.
