The Westbury Wolverines Junior Mite team, led by head coaches Pablo Sinclair and Greg Perpell, recently won the Gridiron National Super Bowl Championship. The Wolverines beat their archrival, the Brooklyn Warriors, by a score of 14 to 12. The Wolverines running attack was lead by Adam Campbell, who ran for 110 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns. He was named the player of the game.
“I was very proud of all the kids because they showed great heart and toughness,” Coach Sinclair said.
This is the second year in a row that the Westbury Wolverines have won a championship. The Junior Mite team recently fundraised and will be in Orlando, Florida from Dec. 8 through 12 to play in a national tournament. Parents, fans and the Westbury community would like to wish them good luck.
