Recently, Carle Place seniors Taylor Martello signed a letter of intent to play Division I lacrosse at Quinnipiac University and Stephen Laurino signed a letter of intent to play Division I baseball at Marist College starting in September 2011.
Taylor is a five-year member and a captain of the varsity lacrosse team. She is a tenacious player and a scoring machine. This upcoming spring, Taylor will eclipse the 300-goal mark. Taylor has elevated the CPHS lacrosse program and is a mentor to many of the younger players according to coach Harvey Allen. She is a two-time All County performer who will be joining her sister Noelle at Quinnipiac University. The CPHS girl’s lacrosse team is looking for Taylor to lead it toward post-season play. Taylor has been a member of the Long Island Express and has been playing travel lacrosse for eight years.
Stephen is a four-year member and three-year captain of the varsity baseball team. He has earned All County honors and was runner up for conference player of the year as a junior. Stephen has been a member of the Mizuno Titans and Titans Club program. He was also a member of the 2010 Gold Medal Long Island team for the Empire State games this summer.
Congratulations to Taylor, Stephen and their parents for this wonderful accomplishment.
