The varsity football game against Cold Spring Habor will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

The Carle Place Civic Association will be hosting their 34th annual Family Fun Run/Walk Day on Sunday, Oct. 27 starting at 1 p.m. The 3 mile marked race starts in front of Carle Place High school and there will be six runner age categories (participants must be in fifth grade or older). Medals, certificates and ribbons will be awarded. The registration fee is $10. Registration will take place in the main lobby of the high school on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon, and the day of the race from 10 a.m. to noon. St. Brigid’s will be holding a National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course, for anyone looking to become a safer driver. Students will receive a 10 percent insurance reduction from their liability and collision premium, and up to four points will be deducted from their driving record.
