Johnny Mathis at NYCB Theatre at Westbury

The Grammy award-winning singer will be performing two nights at the NYCB Theatre as part of his nationwide 57th Anniversary Concert Tour. Show starts at 8 p.m., tickets can be purchased at livenation.com.

Celebrations in Westbury

Come out to the to the Westbury Public Library, as the Historical Society presents the different celebrations that have taken place in Westbury over the years. The event starts at 2:30 p.m.

Golden Opportunity and Gala Auction

Community Reform Temple (CRT) in Westbury will be holding a “Golden Opportunity” and Gala Auction. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the auction begins at 7 p.m. There is a donation of $10 per person to attend the auction. 

The free “Golden Opportunity” will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., when attendees are invited to sell their unwanted gold, silver and platinum jewelry.  Wasserman Jewel Galleries of 5th Avenue in New York City will be there to digitally weigh your gold. “Miles For Melanoma” 5K Run/Walk

The Colette Coyne Melanoma Awareness Campaign will be holding its ninth annual “Miles for Melanoma” 5K Run/Walk. The event takes place at Eisenhower Park, Field 2. Register online at ccmac.org or on-site the day of the event starting at 8 a.m. The run starts at 9:30 a.m., the walk at 10:30 a.m. Pre-register with a donation of $25. Children under 12 attend free. Final Call for Boxers and Boxer Announcement 

 Long Island Fight for Charity will be having its “Final Call for Boxers and Boxer Announcement” reception at 6 p.m. at the Garden Oasis of the Chateau Briand in Carle Place. Participants in the tenth main event, which takes place in November, will be announced and the final call will be made for “celebrity boxers” to fill the remaining slots. Sponsors, boxers and supporters will get to mingle at this upscale networking event, and enjoy an evening of food, beverages and music. Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance at lifightforcharity.org, and $20 at the door.

The Price is Right-Live Stage Show

America’s favorite game show is coming to NYCB Theatre at Westbury. There will be two shows, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $29.50 to $49.50 and can be purchased at livenation.com.

Relay for Life at Carle Place High School

Walkers will walk the Carle Place High School track from 3 p.m. to midnight in the battle against cancer. Relay for Life’s Lumniaria Ceremony takes place after sundown, honoring the community’s cancer survivors and remembering those lost to the disease. There will also be a Fight Back Ceremony, where a community leader will inspire participants to take a personal pledge of action. Relay for Life events raise money for cancer research. All are welcome, join a team, form a team or come support others. Sign up at RelayForLife.org. 

Defensive Driving Course

Participants will receive a 10 percent insurance reduction from their liability and collision premium, and up to four points will be deducted from their driving record.
