The Mineola Chiefs 6th Grade Boys Lacrosse team took to the road for the second week in a row and defeated the Bellmore Braves 6-1, bringing their record on the season to 2-0.

It was all Chiefs in this one. Midfielders Thomas O'Connell, James Gerstner, Peter McCormack, Gerard Boniello, Brian Smith and Kyle Dunleavy outworked and beat Bellmore 38-13 on ground balls. Attackmen Chris Lockwood, Mark Sarnell and Dominic Paggi kept the pressure on the Braves Goalie in the offensive zone. The Chiefs' defense was once again dominant, led by Gavin Dowd, Trifon Boniello and Jake Connors. Goalie John Clancy didn't get much action on this day having to make only one save. O'Connell and Gerstner combined to win four of the seven face-offs.

Other players that contributed in the victory were attackmen Tom O'Dwyer, Kyle Leinhart, and defensemen Eric Pacher. All the boys played and participated in the victory. Logo
