Westbury Superintendent of Schools Dr. Constance Clark-Snead said, in a The Westbury Times [column], that we can call her anytime. Well I did. On Feb. 2, I called about an incident that happened to my grandson at school [when] he got hurt by an older child. In January, he was hurt on the school bus by four boys, two years older than him. I called the superintendent that time too. I did not get a return call either time.
The hitting and kicking on school buses and classrooms has to stop. I see kids fighting at the library and junior high school, too. People are afraid to go to the library around 2:30 p.m. because kids are fighting and blocking Jefferson Street. What are our kids learning in school and at home?
