At the East Meadow Soccer Club's World Cup held Jan. 18, Madeline Seims of the East Meadow Stars 98 was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Premiere Division U10. Featuring almost 300 teams from across Long Island, the East Meadow Soccer Club's World Cup is the largest tournament of its kind in the metro area. Madeline, a speedster who plays defense, midfield and striker for the East Meadow Stars, also plays lacrosse, sings in the school chorus and plays violin. The East Meadow Stars are coached Tony Dudley, an experienced English soccer talent, and trained by Long Island Rough Rider Shaun Higgins.
