Cantiague Park's busy indoor ice skating rink holds its "Theme Nights" program on Fridays from 9 to 11 p.m. Each week on Fridays, when the rink is active with teenagers, skaters will be able to enjoy a new theme with related pop music. Participants can also join in the fun by dressing in a costume appropriate to the theme. The theme for Dec. 26 will be Christmas.

One of Nassau County's best-known indoor ice-skating rinks and the onetime practice center for the New York Islanders, Cantiague Park's rink has been called "Best of Long Island" by News 12, a selection made on the basis of viewer nominations and surveys. The rink is open seven days a week (closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Day) from September through May. In addition to public skating sessions, the rink has hockey programs, group and private lessons, and figure-skating clubs. Birthday parties may also be arranged during public sessions.
