Earlier this month, the Fire & Ice Inferno 16U Girls Fast Pitch Softball Team won the Brooklyn Cyclones 18U Invitational Tournament. Through two days of oppressive heat and humidity the Inferno players displayed determination and outstanding softball skills. Behind the dynamic pitching of Taylor Tedeschi and Deena Farrell, the Inferno compiled a tournament record of five wins and 1 loss. The potent offense scored 28 runs with homeruns by Kelly Moorehead, Alicia Parisi, Taylor Tedeschi and Kristen Caputo. The girls attend a number of high schools in Nassau County and are looking forward to their next tournament I Pennsylvania Aug. 2-3.
