Henry A. Perretta, 81, of Manchester, NH died July 10, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born in Mineola on Oct. 21, 1926, Mr. Perretta was the son of Ralph and Josephine Perretta. He drew up in Westbury, then lived in Endicott, NY; North Easton, MA; Hanover, PA and Amherst, NH many years before moving to Manchester in 2007. During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Perretta worked as an account executive for J.F. McElwain Shoe Company for many years. He sang in the choirs of the many churches at which he had been a parishioner. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the senior league at Ponemah Greens in Amherst. Mr. Perretta is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence (Parillo) of Manchester; four children, Cecile Perretta of Manchester, Henry A. Perretta of Alexandria, VA, Christopher Perretta of New York and Amelia Farnum of Dummerston, VT; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
George L. Koenig, of Mineola, on July 23, 2008. He was 79 years old. Husband of 49 years†to Evelyn. Father of Robert (Jessica). Grandfather of Jonathan.†Brother of Walter (Jean).† Also survived by many relatives and friends.† Mr. Koenig, who grew up in Carle Place, worked for Citibank for 40 years, volunteered at Winthrop-University Hospital and was a former member of the Mineola Choral Society. He was a country music fan and appeared on Bowling For Dollars in 1979. Mr. Koenig was a longtime member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Williston Park and also sang in the choir. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros Funeral Home in Williston Park. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Williston Park. Donation in Mr. Koenigís name can be sent to St. Johnís.
