The Greater Long Island Running Club and the Runner's Edge running and multi-sport specialty store in Farmingdale will once again be co-hosting their annual joint Winter Fun Run. The run will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, starting and finishing at the Runner's Edge on Main Street in Farmingdale, starting at 9 a.m.

The event will once again offer local runners their choice of 3, 6 or 9-mile out-and-back traffic controlled routes through downtown Farmingdale and up Main Street to Bethpage Road and on to Round Swamp Road.

The runners will be welcomed back to the Runner's Edge for hot coffee, bagels and orange juice courtesy of the Running Club, and a special Runner's Edge Door Prize and will be treated with a very special sale at the store.

Everyone is welcome to join in on the fun. There is no entry fee or other charge to participate, and everyone is welcome to join in on the fun - even if you are not a GLIRC member. For more information, call Mike or Linda at 349-7646.
