'Old' Building Department Comes Tumbling Down
Criminal charges have been filed against five men who worked in the Town of North Hempstead Building Department including former commissioner David Wasserman, former deputy commissioner Joseph Madden, former plan examiner Andrew Acierno, former plumbing inspector Joseph Lomonaco and building inspector Thomas McDonough.

Acierno Pleads Guilty to Felony Charges
Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced last week that the first of five defendants charged in connection with a 16-month probe into allegations of corruption within the North Hempstead Town's building department has pleaded guilty to six felony charges and will be sentenced in December to serve three months in the Nassau County Jail.

The offensive line of Gavin Dowd, Teddy Capsis, Lucas Golon, Michael Delio and Andrew Hastings dominated the Inwood defense, opening holes for the running backs and controlling the tempo of the game.
