Four NCPD Officers Injured During New Cassel Arrest
Four Nassau County Third Precinct Officers were injured Sunday night when a car - unrelated to the incident that they were called to investigate - struck them while attempting to arrest a robbery suspect on Prospect Avenue in New Cassel.

DA: Five Accused of Unemployment Comp Fraud
Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced last week that her office has filed charges against five individuals accused of fraudulently obtaining unemployment benefits from the New York State Department of Labor. Each of the five defendants has been charged with grand larceny - 3rd degree and offering a false instrument for filing - 1st degree, both felony offenses.

Several talented student-athletes were honored during Westbury High School's end of the year Athletic Awards Night. The well-attended program, held at the high school, recognized the dedication and achievements of student-athletes from boys varsity track, girls varsity track, girls varsity badminton, boys varsity tennis, boys varsity baseball and girls varsity softball teams.
