Striper Surf Club to Clean Up Jones Beach April 21
The Striper Surf Club, Inc. will be holding its 6th Annual Spring Beach Clean-up at Jones Beach State Park, West End, on Saturday, April 21, from 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Alexandra McDonnell, a 'Kindred Spirit'
Children who are newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the Child Life Activity Center in Winthrop-University Hospital's Hagedorn Pediatric Inpatient Center will receive a backpack stuffed with toys, games and coloring books, thanks to the generosity of 13-year-old Alexandra McDonnell, a resident of Westbury and student at W.T. Clarke Middle School. Alexandra, a member the hospital's Kindred Spirits support group, donated 25 backpacks filled with goodies to help calm the fears of boys and girls who are diagnosed with the disease after witnessing the struggles that her younger brother Jonathan endured.

Westbury Girls Bowl at Top of Their Game
The Westbury girls' bowling team had another successful season placing fourth in their conference this winter. The countywide final standings for Nassau placed the girls' varsity team 14th out of 42 teams.

Westbury PAL Holding Spring 2007 Registration
The Westbury PAL will hold open registration for all spring activities for girls and boys of all ages every Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Powell's Lane School as well as at the site holding the specific activity. All programs run 6 to 8 weeks and activities are as follows:
