Kenyan stone carver and sculptor Elkana Ong'esa spoke at the Westbury Memorial Library March 4 as part of his first visit to the United States. Ong'esa, an artist-in-residence in Hofstra University's Fine Arts Department this month, has 21 of his soapstone carvings on display in the university's Rosenberg Gallery in Calkins Halls.
