Author Teaches Young Readers About Our Supreme Court
Westbury resident Richard Panchyk recently published his sixth book for young readers. "I think it's important to reach kids," Panchyk told The Westbury Times. "I've also realized that a lot of the material [currently available] there is not exactly innovative for young people."

WHS Advances to 2nd Round of Long Island Challenge
Following its first-round victory, the academic team from Westbury High School is moving on to the second round in the Long Island Challenge, an academic quiz show designed to tests students' knowledge in a Jeopardy-style format. The second round match-up between Westbury High School and Friends Academy will air exclusively on News12 Long Island at 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10 with an encore airing the Sunday, March 11 at the same times. The two most recent episodes of the challenge are also available on demand on channel 612 through News12 Interactive.

Athletes Invited to 30th Anniversary ASPIRE Run
Runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes of all ages and levels of ability from Westbury and nearby communities are invited to join in the fun on Saturday, March 31 at the 30th annual Nationwide Insurance 10 Kilometer Run for ASPIRE, Long Island's oldest continuously held 10 Kilometer Run.
