The East Meadow Civic Association serves over 45,000 residents in the East Meadow/Salisbury communities. As president of the association for the past 25 years, I have had the pleasure of working directly with Tom DiNapoli on a myriad of important issues concerning Nassau County. These have included maximizing state aid to our school districts, ensuring accountability of school district officials and maintaining the Nassau University Medical Center as a Level I trauma center and medical service facility.

In my experience as a senior Democratic assemblyman in the Long Island delegation, Tom consistently demonstrated the utmost concern for the best interests of the residents of Nassau. He has consistently brought the highest degree of personal integrity and professionalism to every matter he takes on and he'll never stop fighting for his constituency until real justice is reached. In our opinion, there is no one in the State of New York who would make a better comptroller than Thomas DiNapoli. As he embarks on his new challenge, we will surely be knocking on his door, but we will also be doing our best to help him out.

Good luck to you, State Comptroller DiNapoli. We know you will make Long Island proud.

Robert J. Zafonte

President

East Meadow Civic Association
