The Mineola PAL Chiefs 9 White and 9 Maroon once again stayed undefeated last week. On Sunday, Sept. 24, 9 White beat the Baldwin Bombers 7-0 and the 9 Maroon tied the Bellmore Braves 7-7, to move both their winning records to 2-0-1. On Sept. 24, at home against the Baldwin Bombers, both teams battled defensively, but the Chiefs 9 White came out on top 7-0. Scoring is summarized below.

• Andrew Cunningham: 15-yard touchdown run

• Thomas O'Connell: extra point pass to Brian Smith

Also on Sept. 23, Chiefs 9 Maroon went on the road again and tied the Bellmore Braves 7-7. It was a game of field position, as both solid defenses refused to budge. Scoring is summarized below:

• Justin Johnson: 60-yard touchdown run

• Anthony Preston: extra-point run

All the Chiefs had fun this past week, showing great sportsmanship. All the boys played and participated in the games.
