Falcons Give Birth to Four Babies on NUMC Window Ledge
Four baby falcons nesting on the 17th floor window ledge at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) were recently born to parents Meadow and Brook, who mate for life. On Tuesday, May 23 the three-week old peregrine falcons were the stars of their first press conference.

Congregation: Old Westbury Village Hindering Efforts to Expand
When Bethel United Pentecostal Church (BUPC) sold its Oyster Bay building and moved to Old Westbury in 1999 the plan was to renovate the existing barn into a sanctuary as well as construct an additional building to accommodate its growing congregation. But today, over six years since the closing on the property and three years since an application to construct the new building was filed, BUPC isn't anywhere near ready to break ground because, according to church officials, the Incorporated Village of Old Westbury's Board of Trustees have been hindering the process.
