Comment Period for Main Line Corridor Project Extended
According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) website, the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) has extended the public comment period regarding the Main Line Corridor Improvements Project (which ended Aug. 31) "based on the volume of comments received."

Chiefs Unstoppable in Victory Over Bellmore
On Oct. 30, the Mineola PAL 8-year-old Chiefs played at home and this time they beat the Bellmore Braves 40-26. The victory brings their undefeated record to 7-0-1. The Chiefs' offense was able to move the ball all day long and score on every offensive series because of sound blocking by the offensive line of Gavin Dowd, Teddy Capsis, Matthew Lafay, Michael Delio, Kyle Facibene and the leadership of quarterback Thomas O'Connell.

'Bunky' Reid All Stars Sports Club to Hold 1st Annual Fundraiser
The "Bunky" Reid All Stars Sports Club (BRASC) will hold its First Annual Fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Westbury Community Center, 360 Post Avenue. The cost is $100 per person, payable by check to the "Bunky" Reid All Stars, 357 Rockland Street, Westbury, NY 11590.
