For the first time in 10 years, the Carle Place Boys Varsity Soccer Team captured the Kickoff Tournament Championship, which was sponsored by the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club and held on Sept 9 and 10.

The Frogs posted an impressive 7-0 win over North Shore in the opening round of the tournament. Senior Captain Matt Boyd scored the first two goals, while Marco Duarte added two goals and Chris Urick, Joe Lanzetta and Bruno Dias each scored a goal apiece as well.

In the finals, the Frogs defeated the Falcons from Locust Valley 6-0. Boyd scored the "Hat Trick," Lanzetta scored two goals, Duarte added a goal and Dias contributed three outstanding assists.

The team would like to thank the Carle Place Athletic Booster Club for hosting a wonderful lunch for all four teams after the completion of the finals and consolation games. Coach Allen Foraker is optimistic about his team's future and believes they possess the talent, work ethic and desire to succeed that just may carry them to the County "B" Championship game.
