9/11 Memorial Fundraising Softball Tournament July 23 and 24
Nassau County is in the process of building a monument in honor of its residents who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The monument, which will be located in Eisenhower Park, will have the names of Nassau County's 9/11 victims inscribed on a series of plaques.

Rec Department Accepting Applications for Summer Program
The Village of Westbury Recreation Department is accepting applications for its six-week Summer Playground Program, which runs through Aug. 19. The program runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is open to children ages 3 to 11. Many trips to local parks, museums, etc. are planned.
