North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Anthony D'Urso were proud to announce another successful year for annual North Hempstead Cup Soccer Tournament, held on Columbus Day Weekend. The tournament, which took place at several locations throughout the Town, hosted over 250 teams from North Hempstead and the tri-state area.

All the walkers, runners and spectators enjoyed the 25th Family Fun Run/Walk Day held by the Carle Place Civic Association on Sunday, Oct. 24. Frank Moroney, who was instrumental in organizing the first Family Run with Jim Colligan and the executive board, was the starter of the race. The Top Male Runner was Charles Donnelly (16:48) and the Top Female Runner was Dawn Pannachio (21:12). The Top Families for the day were the Donnelly Family, The madey Family and the Ehrhardt Family, respectively.
