On June 16, the Senior Citizens of Westbury held their 48th Annual Installation Luncheon at Chateau Briand in Carle Place. The ceremony honored new and existing members of the board of directors and the membership board.

Carle Place Varsity Softball Season a Success
The Carle Place High School's Varsity Softball Team enjoyed another rewarding spring season under Coach Chris Ceruti. The team earned a hard-fought Conference B/C Championship, finishing with an impressive 14-2 league record. The Frogs beat some very tough opponents during the league season to earn the championship. This was a team that returned eight varsity players from last year's County "C" Championship Team. For the third time in seven years, Coach Ceruti was selected as Coach-of-the-Year by her colleagues.

SUNY Old Westbury Athletic Update
Old Westbury Athletics and the Panther Pride Club will host a special Ocean Cruise and Fire Island Lobster Bake on Monday, June 28 aboard the state-of-the-art 65-foot party boat Spectrum. Events begin at 11 a.m. at Captree State Park Marina as the Spectrum departs for four hours of cruising, complete with complimentary fishing tackle and bait, refreshments and nonstop fun.
