Town Holds Visioning Meeting for Carle Place BOCES
Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Councilman Robert Troiano hosted a community visioning forum on Wednesday, June 9 to discuss the future of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) property on Westbury Avenue in Carle Place. The men were joined by property owner Allen Rose who said no official plan has been developed for the 7.8 acre site that presently houses the BOCES adult educational programs.

County Executive Tours Community
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi joined local elected officials and community representatives on a bus tour throughout the community last Wednesday to discuss ideas for economic development in the East Meadow, Levittown and Salisbury area. In doing this, Suozzi plans to collect input from residents, community leaders and activists and apply their suggestions and concerns in shaping the future of local communities.

Carle Place Boys and Girls Track and Field on the Cinders
Once again, both the boys and girls varsity track teams enjoyed another very successful season at Carle Place High School. The boys won their fifth consecutive Divisional Championship and the girls finished in second place in both Conference IV and at the Divisional (IVB) Meet.

St. Brigid/OLH 1st Annual Golf Outing Planned
The St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Region School will hold its First Annual Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 20 at Cedar Brook Golf and Tennis Club on Oak Lane in Old Brookville.
