Village Court Rules Search Warrant Was Improper, Too Broad
On May 6, Westbury Village Justice Thomas Liotti ruled that while the incorporated village had a right to obtain a warrant to search a Princeton Street home last year, the warrant was improperly executed and over broad. As a result, the village will now have to observe a higher standard, set by Liotti, when obtaining and using warrants in the future.

Westbury Budget Fails, Carle Place Passes
The Westbury School District budget for the 2004-2005 school year was voted down last Tuesday with 716 residents voting against and 659 voting for the spending plan. The budget, which totals $71,184,386, reflected an 8.38 percent increase over the current year's budget. The district will put the budget up for a revote on Tuesday, June 15.
