I am deeply honored and humbled by the ongoing support of my constituents and their continued support in the Nov. 4 election.

When I ran for and was elected to the legislature eight years ago, I was inspired by the need for reform in Nassau County government as it teetered on the brink of financial disaster. The problems facing our newly won majority were enormous, yet I believed that in spite of the difficult tasks before us we could and we would make a difference.

While the past eight years have been extremely challenging for me, I have never wavered in my commitment to my community and constituents. It has not always been easy, but I believe the difficult decisions I have made have put Nassau County on the path to a sound future. Your trust in me and my ability to help Nassau County turn the corner toward financial stability is vitally important to my individual goals and the greater goals of the Democratic majority.

I am confident that we will continue to make strides toward fiscal solvency and that residents will again be proud to be a part of this great county. Thank you for your vote of confidence and for the opportunity to serve as your legislator.
