The Girl Scouts of the Carle Place/Westbury Association were honored on Friday, June 20 by the Girl Scouts of Nassau County for living the Girl Scout Promise to "serve their country and help people at all times."

The Westbury Memorial Public Library recently hosted the first in a series of six workshops called PRIME TIME Family Reading Time. Westbury was chosen as a site for the 2003 program, receiving a competitive grant from the New York Council for the Humanities and the American Library Association.

Tennis Great McEnroe Lauds Buckley Mentor
Tennis legend John McEnroe returned to his alma mater, Buckley Country Day School, on April 25 to honor an old friend and mentor, longtime staffer Jerry Lee of Westbury. Lee, who is celebrating 55 years of service at Buckley, an independent toddler through grade eight school in North Hills, is the director of buildings and grounds.
