We, as residents of the Village of Westbury and the Westbury School and Library Districts for the past 34 years, are proud to welcome Kenneth M. Little as an outstanding candidate for library trustee. He represents a new voice in the community, willing to stand up and be counted among a generation of younger supporters of one of Westbury's premier institutions.
With two young girls in the Westbury schools and a family of library patrons, Kenneth M. Little is carrying on the tradition of public service so amply pioneered by his father and mother, Ken and Mildred Little, who remain leading spokespersons for the Westbury/New Cassel community.
Kenneth M. Little serves as a major and the principal court officer, supervising 100 court officers in the Nassau County District Court in Hempstead. He is responsible for developing and overseeing his department's budget, so he will bring the much needed hardheaded strength and scrutiny to oversee the library's budget.
Kenneth M. Little is also active with the Westbury PAL Track Team, PTA Parent Representative, DAD's Club and is a director of WABA (Westbury Little League), so he is aware of the needs and desires of Westbury's children and young people. Anyone experiencing youth activities in Scouting, Little League or the St. Brigid's community over the last 40 years would know a member of the Little family.
Kenneth M. Little has formulated a comprehensive program of new ideas for the library, including developing a more accessible location for the library's satellite branch in New Cassel and exploring new and expanded computer services in the library to accommodate the expected addition later this year of Carle Place residents as library patrons. His soft-spoken demeanor and keen ability to assess information quickly and accurately will bring a much-needed new perspective to the library's board of trustees.
A vote for Kenneth M. Little, your number one candidate for library trustee, will earn big rewards for our entire community. Please vote at the library on Tuesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
