Little Named 2003 Trailblazer
Nassau County Deputy Presiding Officer Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) recently presented New Cassel resident Mildred Little with the 2003 "Women: Trailblazers of the New Millennium" award. Little has been involved in her community since her two sons entered the Westbury school system and has focused on keeping the neighborhood clean and its youth safe.

Incumbents Prevail in Westbury Election
Action Party member Thomas Liotti, who ran unopposed for village justice, received 375 votes. Action Party incumbents Peter Cavallaro and Paul Echausse received 398 and 346 votes, respectively, defeating newcomer James Corcoran, a Progressive Party member. Corcoran received 122 votes. Liotti, Cavallaro and Echausse were each elected to four-year terms.

Westbury's Joe King, Lead Sponsor of Wheelchair Championship Race
Joe King of Westbury, the proprietor of Antun's Caterers of Queens Village, has signed on to be the lead sponsor of the 12th Annual Nick Katsounis Memorial Championship 10 Kilometer Race on Bethpage State Parkway and adjacent roads on Sunday, June 29. This will be the second year that King and Antun's will sponsor the race.
