Thirty-six computers, 13 monitors, 28 keyboards, two printers and two CD-rom drives have begun their long journey from Long Island to schools in Kenya, East Africa.

Murdered Couple Honored Through Medical Facility
In 1995, four armed individuals entered and ransacked Pierre and Josephine Dorsainvil's home in Arcahaie, Haiti. At this time, the New Cassel residents, who were in their homeland for a brief vacation, were shot and killed. Only the maid, who had been shot by the robbers four times, survived.

Carle Place Receives Good Sports Award
Carle Place Middle/High School was Nassau County's recipient of the New York Good Sports Awards sponsored by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). The award is based upon the self-assessment of the school and a review by both Section VIII and the NYSPHSAA Sportsmanship Committee. This prestigious award was presented to Jim Colligan, director of athletics for the Carle Place Middle/High School.
