On Saturday, Dec. 7, Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by fire truck at 2 p.m. at Eisenhower Park's Swimming and Diving Center (parking fields 1A and 6A). The program will begin at 1:30 p.m. with holiday entertainment and conclude with a tree lighting ceremony at 2:15 p.m. Afterward, everyone in attendance will receive candy. Letters may be deposited in the mailbox at the Eisenhower Park Administration Building, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Letters received by Dec. 16 with legible name and return address will be answered by Santa. Other drop-off points include Cantiague Park in Hicksville, Grant Park in Hewlett, Mackey Park in Roosevelt, Christopher Morley Park in Roslyn and Wantagh Park in Wantagh. The 6th Annual Craft Extravaganza Show and Sale presented by the Black Crafters Association will take place on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Sunday, Dec. 8, from 1 to 6 p.m. A wide variety of handmade items will be available just in time for holiday shopping. Admission is free.
