One of the nicest things to happen in Westbury recently has been the dramatic improvement of our library. We've had a beautiful, spacious building for a long time, but now we have an appealing place to visit with lots of new books displayed and promoted.
The Children's Library is alive with great programs. Wonderful books, current and classic, lovingly chosen and displayed. A perfect place to have had Peter Rabbit's 100th birthday party.
The library is not only for book lovers and students. There are programs for scrabblers, knitters, cookers, sing-alongers, teenagers, seniors, etc.
As a resident of Westbury for 40 years, I just have to comment on the enhancement and improvements at the library under Director Cathleen Towey and her very helpful and very friendly staff.
The library is open to all. Come visit. Pick up the wonderful calendar of events and see what I am talking about.
