Jung, 15th A.D. Right to Life Candidate
Political newcomer George T. Jung is seeking election to the 15th Assembly District on the Right to Life Party line. A resident of Hicksville for 27 years, Jung is running against Democrat and Liberal Party candidate Jim Buonagura, also of Hicksville, and incumbent Donna Ferrara, of Westbury, who is running on the Republican, Conservative, Independent and Working Families lines.

Incumbent Maureen O'Connell is hoping her constituents, old and new, will elect her to serve yet another term as assemblywoman of the 17th District. Due to the recent redistricting plan, O'Connell gained portions of the Bellmores and much more of East Meadow. Walking door to door, attending community meetings and campaigning at local train stations, she is getting to better know the residents she hopes to serve if re-elected.

Westbury Runners Score in 15th Annual TOB Oyster Fest 5K Run
Three athletes from Westbury, Amanda Chaimnovich, 24; Miriam Mulvey, 51; and Racewalker Robert Hylton, 71 were among the award winners as nearly 600 runners from all over Long Island and beyond successfully completed the 15th annual Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor's 5K Run on Saturday, Oct. 19.
