Francis T. Gorman, of Carle Place, died on Aug. 21, 2002. A veteran of WWII serving in the military police, he was employed by the New York Daily News for 35 years. Husband of Margaret (nee Otto). Father of Thomas F. (Maria), George J. (Susan), James S. (Joanne) and Gail Armendinger (Nick). Grandfather of Melissa, Jimmy, Annie, Meg, Jack, Grace, Adam and Luke. He is one of 13 children and is survived by his sister Ethel Scullin. Arrangements were made by the Cecere Funeral Home, Carle Place. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Hope RC Church. Butler, of Westbury, died on Aug. 22, 2002. He was born in Portmaggee, County Kerry, Ireland. He was an alumni of Salesian College, County Limerick and Atlantic College, Dublin, Ireland. He was a plumber in Westbury for many years. Husband of Josie. Father of Vincent (Karen) and James (Laurie). Grandfather of Megan, Kerryanne, James, Andrew, Jared and Kristin. Brother of Sr. Mary DeSales, Maeve O'Sullivan, James, Billie and the late Brendan. Also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
