Obituaries
Luisa Ercolano, formerly of Westbury, died on July 25, 2002. Wife of the late Tony. Mother of Joy and Louis. Grandmother of Louise, Justina, Anthony, Louis and Lucille. Great-grandmother of seven. Sister of Tessie Guidi. Arrangements were made by the Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, Westbury. Funeral Mass at St. Brigid's RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

Edwin Richard Hunt, 82, formerly of Wildwood Ave., died on Aug. 7, 2002 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Born in Lynnfield, MA, he was the youngest of four children of William C. and Lillian T. Hunt. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dorothy Natale, Clifford and Robert Hunt as well as his wife, Margaret F. (Murphy) Gardner Hunt.

A graduate of Cambridge Ringe and Latin, Dick excelled academically and in hockey, a sport he would later coach for his youngest son. After attending the 58th College Training Detachment in Amherst, he was commissioned as a US Air Force second lieutenant and served as a B-24 fighter liberator pilot. He served his country from 1943 until 1947. Dick was employed in the auto sales field for more than 50 years, briefly owning the former Howard Street Motors in Framingham during the mid- '70s, and retiring in 1999 after running the top-rated Nissan dealership in the country, Westbury Nissan, in Hempstead.

In addition to coaching Newton Youth Hockey, Dick was an avid baseball and football fan. He took particular joy in his children and grandchildren who remember him with love. He is survived by seven children, H. Joseph Gardner of Needham, Kathleen T. Hebden of Ashland, Stephen D. Gardner of Lowell, Jeanne T. Hunt of N. Easton, E. Richard Hunt of Westborough, Patricia H. Sinacole of Lower Gyynedd, PA, and W. Sean Hunt of San Diego, CA.

His is also remembered by his grandchildren, Cara P. Perry, Caitlin A. Tirrell, E. Richard Hunt, Kellin C.Hunt, Rachel C. Hunt, Courtney L. Gardner, Christopher J. Gardner, Haley C. Sinacole and Danil M. Sinacole.

Arrangments were made by the Blackington, Conroy and Hayes Funeral Home, W. Newton. Interment Newton Cemetery. The family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.
