The Valley Stream-based Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union (NEDFCU) is in the process of constructing a three-story corporate headquarters in Westbury. The building, with a state-of-the-art banking branch in the lobby, will be located on Corporate Drive, on the site of the former Roosevelt Raceway. It is set to open in October.

Once complete, Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union on Corporate Drive in Westbury will serve as the credit union's new headquarters.

The new NEFCU branch will serve as a full-service, central location where members can open savings or checking accounts, apply for loans and perform many other financial transactions. The facility will also feature two no-surcharge, 24-hour ATMs with drive-up or walk-up access.

Credit unions are unique financial institutions that operate with the philosophy of "people helping people." There are no stockholders to answer to, only members who bank here. Instead of turning profits over to stockholders, profits are returned to members in the form of lower-cost loans, higher dividends on savings and deposits, and reduced, if any, fees on financial products.

Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union is a non-for-profit financial institution created to service its members with the very best in savings and lending products, as well as many other financial services. It mainly services the educational community in Nassau County, and it also services many other groups in Nassau County.

The addition of this new branch provides NEFCU members with a total of five convenient locations. In addition to Valley Stream and the new Westbury location, the credit union operates branches in Syosset, Massapequa and Brookville. The credit union services more than 80,000 members and is committed to the members and communities it serves. For more information on products or how to join NEFCU, visit www.nassaued.org.
