The Salisbury Bulldogs split a doubleheader on May 26 to finish the regular season 10-4. The games were played against Monty's Misfits at their field in Blue Point.

After losing their first game 7-3, the Bulldogs were victorious, winning the second game 6-2. They won seven of their last eight games.

Depending on the outcome of games still to be played by other teams they should finish in third or fourth place out of 10 teams and move on to the playoffs.

The Bulldogs are a team in the 10-year-old division of the National Junior Baseball League. This is a competitive travel league with teams from all over Long Island. All the players on the Bulldogs are from the Westbury area.

The regular season consists of a 14 game schedule played as seven doubleheaders. This past season, the team played games in East Setauket,

Blue Point, and New Hyde Park. The home games, played at the Salisbury

Field, were against teams from Ronkonkoma, Terryville and Oakdale-Bohemia. This is the second season the team has been together.

At press time the date of the first playoff game had not been determined.
