Ramon Diaz, a junior outfielder on the State University of New York College at Old Westbury baseball team, smacked seven hits in 11 times at bat recently to earn Knickerbocker Conference Player of the Week honors. For the week, Diaz hit a .636 clip, including two doubles and two triples. He was also credited with five RBI's, four runs scored and five stolen bases in six attempts.

Felix Tatis earned an Honorable Mention in Rookie of the Week balloting. It is a first weekly mention for Tatis, who both pitches and plays shortstop. The freshman recently started his first game on the mound at the college level against Mount St. Mary's, going the distance in the Panther's 3-0 loss, striking out eight batters and walking only four.

After going the distance and shutting out Baruch College, pitcher Adam Gomez also earned Honorable Mention in Pitcher of the Week voting. Gomez allowed only three hits in the 3-0 victory while striking out eight and walking only one.
