Giving the Gift of Life
Thanks to the Westbury and Carle Place Rotary Club, four-year-old Natalia Agarkova of Russia will now be able to perform normal everyday activities like riding a bike, running and laughing without worrying about straining her heart. Through the club's Gift of Life Program, Natalia recently underwent major heart surgery to repair a half-dollar sized hole in her heart.

Post Office Extends Hours on Monday, April 15
In an effort to accommodate last minute taxpayers, the United States Postal Service will provide expanded service in the Long Island District. Stamp sales and postmarking services will be available until midnight, Monday, April 15 at selected post offices including the Hicksville Post Office on West John Street.

St. Brigid's Wins LI Championship
The St. Brigid's Church sixth grade boy's basketball team recently won the Nassau-Suffolk CYO Championship. The team finished on top over 60 other teams that competed for the title, and compiled a nearly perfect 16-1 record, including five playoff victories. In the championship game, which was held at Adelphi University on March 23, they stormed to a 12-0 lead before completing the championship run with a 46-37 win.
