Collegiate Baseball magazine, based in Tucson, AR, has named Old Westbury right handed pitcher Adam Gomez and left fielder Ramon Diaz to its list of top small college talent. Selections by the influential national magazine are based on outstanding 2001 performances and voting by coaches nationwide.

During his junior year, Gomez limited the opposition to a .195 batting average, while striking out 66 in 74 2/3 innings. Diaz was ranked 21st among Division III batsmen, having hit .458 as a sophomore. He was also named 2002 Knickerbocker Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player, as the Panthers took both the conference title and a trip to NCAA Regional play for the second year in a row.
