Assemblyman David S. Sidikman, (Dl, Old Bethpage) last week announced that he has been able to secure additional funding of $183,617 for the Westbury School District.

"This is part of the additional budget actions taken this past October for the school year 2001-02," stated Assemblyman Sidikman. This amount will be paid out in two states, one portion will be paid in State Fiscal Year 2001-02, with the remainder in State Fiscal Year 2002-03. However, the entire amount will be distributed fully within the school year 2001-02. "I know and am very glad that these funds will assist the district in achieving important educational goals", Sidikman added.

"It should also be noted that all districts, including Westbury, that were eligible for an allocation of pre-kindergarten funds, may apply unused portions as unrestricted aid only during this current school year," he concluded.
