Congratulations to Mary Frances Fitzgibbon of Drexal Avenue in Westbury, who finished as the 13th woman overall and third in the women's 30-34 age group in the St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center 5 Kilometer run held on the roads of Smithtown on Aug. 25. The 33-year-old Fitzgibbon crossed the finish line in 20 minutes, 36 seconds, a pace of 6.38 minutes per mile for the 3.1-mile course.

Mary Frances is a proud member of the Greater Long Island Running Club and runs competitively for the Club's Fast Feet Women's Racing Team.

The St. Catherine of Siena 5K is the 17th of the 21-race KeySpan Grand Prix of Long Island Road Racing hosted by Long Island Track & Field. Mary Frances and her Greater Long Island Running Club teammates will be gearing up for the last four events in the Grand Prix, highlighted by the Oyster Bay Town Supervisor's Oyster Festival 5 Kilometer Run on Oct. 13.
